A local pasta company on Morgantown’s High Street was looking for a large-scale custom chalk menu for their new Italian eatery. I created a fully custom hand-drawn menu, designed an identity and created small take-away menus to match.

They wanted to showcase the fresh ingredients used to create while offering affordable prices for college students, so I incorporated detailed and brightly-colored whole foods on the sign.

The illustration was created using a white chalk pencil, chalk markers and soft pastels for the central artwork. The linear border pattern is inspired by spaghetti to add a fun, energetic design element.
